allotypes

allotypes
Genetically determined polymorphic variants. The term was first introduced to describe the different antigenic forms of rabbit gamma globulins. It was later extended to include polymorphic variants of plasma proteins in general (e.g., haptoglobins, Gc groups) but now includes red cell and white cell polymorphisms.
